Whats is the name of this flower?
I'm guessing Lavandula dentata..it's hard to tell for sure. The leaves appear to be "dentated" and that's why I'm going with Lavandula dentata instead of Lavandula stoechas.

Do you think this is a match?

I don't list the common names because there is great confusion over what is French lavender and what is Spanish lavender. Better to stick with botanical names on this one!

"Spanish Lavender is probably what the ancient Greeks and Romans used to scent their bath water. Indeed the word Lavender is from Latin lavare (to wash). Spanish Lavender is often referred to in older publications as French Lavender (which, today, is how we refer to L. dentata)." - Mountain Valley Growers website
Reply:Lavandula angustifolia

(Spanish Lavender is more magenta and has larger petals)
Reply:I believe what you have there is a form of salvia (purple salvia) it is in the sage family but is a flowering version. Nice and hearty!
Reply:That there is spanish lavender. Depending on where you live..it is an annual. I live in zone 4..annual here. Very pretty.
