peduncle
Reply:The main stalk for the flower is the peduncle but if the inflorescence is branched like a lilac or a hydrangea the stalk supporting a single flower in the inflorescence is a pedicel.

If the flower has no stalk but grows directly from the plant it is caulescent. The Redbud tree has flower buds on old growth that are caulescent.
