I found a white beautiful kind of flower once in a garden, the name I'm not so sure about?

It may be gillyflower, wallflower or anything else, but the main characteristic is its behaviour at nights, which it scattered its perfume at night times. What is the name of this flower and why it has such characteristic?

The USDA provides a search by scientific, common or botanical names. There are also some thumbnail images that may be compared to determine if your 'wallflower' is the one that they recognize as a 'wallflower'.
