How do i find the flower associated with my name?
The meaning of the name Amy is "beloved."

Amelia (German) hard working.

English form of the Old French name Amée meaning "beloved" (modern French aimée), a vernacular form of the Latin Amata. As an English name, Amy was in use in the Middle Ages and was revived in the 19th century.

Amy is a French name, originally spelled Aimée. The name can be traced back to the Latin word “amare,” which is the verb “to love.” From that verb it evolved into the Latin nickname Amata, which was then transferred to the Old French, Amee, which eventually became Aimee or Amy. The spelling Amy is most common in English-speaking countries, although there are numerous spelling variations available. The spellings Ami and Amie are not likely to be found in France.
Reply:The site www.behindthename.com has a decent reference for first names. According to them, the name "Amy" means "beloved", and originally comes from Queen Amata, wife of King Latinus of the Latins (see Wikipedia). As for facts about your name, I can tell you that there is a type of chrysanthemum that is called Amata, which is a pink mum variation: http://www.acornfarms.com/images/CHRYAMA... As far as animal goes, there may be a more "official" animal associated with the name "Amy", but there is a genus of moths called Amata. They are also known as "tiger moths".
